New Jersey has a very short warm season. We just put the AC on last week and now we are planting annuals in our garden. This year I wanted something big and grand.
I think I've got it!
It does help take my mind off my kitchen ceiling.
It's on hold as we are also working on one of our bathrooms. Our bathrooms have decided they were not meant to last 100 years. lol
Old homes are beautiful but they need many updates when you least expect it.
The geranium is a deep red. For some reason they have photographed bright red.
I can't wait for the flowers to fill in.
~ Here is the bathroom I'm working on ~
It all started when the tile started to lift off the wall. I put a putty knife under the tile only to find more tiles behind it. Yikes!!!

My husband removed the tile floor and is now leveling it. We need to get a new toilet.
I will post more updates soon. In the meantime I will be working on the bathroom and will be away from my computer :(
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Dee

What a beautiful view you have, Dee. I know your bathroom will be beautiful. Hang in there.
What a beautiful view from your window. Love the black with the red geraniums.
Dee...
I love geraniums, especially in a kitchen window. I know I am waiting for my front window box plants to begin to fill in and with all the rain we've been having it's happening faster than I thought!
Looking forward to seeing your finished bathroom and kitchen ceiling profects.
Have a great evening!!!
I love geraniums -- I usually kill them though! Your window boxes are so pretty too -- and that bathroom project . . . yikes! I'd like to blow up my bathroom and start from scratch but that won't happen! Looking forward to seeing the finished project!
The geraniums are gorgeous ~ love red! I really like those windows too.
So sorry about the problems...after what's gone on here, I totally understand. Hang in there!

Wow the potty room looks like a huge project to tackle. Bet you will love it when it's done. Beautiful flowers, love the red peeking through those perfect windows:)
YOur view is beautiful inside and out! Those window boxes are magnificent!
Hi Dee, your window box is beautiful. Love the red geraniums, they look so pretty through the black window frame.
Dearest Dee,
Well, those geraniums are a nice change for keeping your mind off the ugly tile mess in your bathroom. A home that age will have quite some unexpected surprises that surface one by one. But you both seem to be quite handy at tackling such projects. Wishing you luck, also with the kitchen.
Love to you,
Mariette
In our previous house purchase we had to redo our bathroom down to the studs and replace everything, it was a mess and needed doing over. It was gorgeous when finished and people who came to look at the house when we put it on the market were sold once they saw the bathroom. I think "they" say that bathrooms and kitchens sell a house, now if I could just get this kitchen made over!
I do love geraniums and yours look beautiful and spiffy in that setting. Look forward to seeing your new bathroom!
Wow! I love the flower box and flowers. What a nice view.
What a beautiful view Dee! I love geraniums!! Looking forward to see your new bedroom. Hope you have a wonderful day and don't work too hard.
It sounds like you have the classic "one thing leads to another" going on, Dee! Tile right over tile, huh. Sometimes you have to wonder what people are thinking. I love your window boxes! They are going to look so great when the flowers fill in and spill over. It gives you a nice colorful view out that window ~ almost framing the flowers in your window panes.
Hi darling, what a gorgeous view you have. Love the window boxes, so rich looking. Hmmm looks like you have quite a bit of working going on at one time. Fun and exciting I'm sure, looking forward to seeing the pictures. hugs ~lynne~
Dee, your flowers are gorgeous! Your view is stunning! You have your work cut out for you, but I know it will be amazing after you're finished! I can't wait to see your progress photos!
Hi Dee, I love your window with the view of your beautiful red geraniums. So pretty! Can't wait to see all your new changes in your bathroom! Have a great week.

I love the view out your window! Your view of the bathroom, on the other hand, scares me! I know all too well about things needing to be repaired at home.
This window is gorgeous! I love the handle and how it opens! Paired with the black metal planters is so sweet. I plant geraniums in my urns every year. They are so hearty and continue to bloom into the fall!
It will feel fantastic when the bathroom is complete! Removing all those tiles look like an incredible amount of work. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible with the renovation.
Oh goodness you are living in a mess, you poor thing. I wonder if you are ever done with an old house? My brother just redid the bathroom in his 100 year old house. Lots of surprises, rotted floor...You know, on and on! We'll be here when you get a chance to blog, no hurry
Carol
Tile under tile. That's a lot of sticking your putty knife under!
~Bliss~

Dee,
Oh you have me wanting to put a flower box up on one of my windows.
Very pretty. I like the deep red geraniums the best. Looks like a real project in the bathroom. Ours needs remodled too. I'm thinking of tile. Have a wonderful summer.
Pat
A beauuuuutiful view from your window! How clean your windows are, and these deep red flowers - how I love red colour!!!!!

I love that window! That would make me forgot all about my kitchen ceiling!

What a wonderful view from your window! Time really flies so fast, the next thing you’ll know is that all your flowers are in full bloom! Good luck!

Who can resist the beauty of the beautiful landscape and the flowers right outside your window?! I’d love to have a wonderful view like this too!
-Lenore Rushford
Though I must admit that I don’t enjoy flowers much, what excites me about this beautiful landscape are the butterflies! Where there are flowers, there will be butterflies! This is definitely a sight to see.
