Living Room - English Tudor Home

I had painted my living room gold. It stayed that way for a few years. It did not feel welcoming. I was spending less and less time in there. I now love the color richmond bisque by Benjamin Moore. You will now find me in my living room.

I'm lucky to have real wood beams on the ceiling
and wood plank floors.

There is no television in our living room. It's now my favorite room to read and entertain.

Here is a close-up of the fabric on my screen.

  8. Hi Dee, Love the new color....it's very calming. I hear what you're saying about the golds. Have a lot of them here and I'm ready for a quiet change. Looking for more neutral wall colors. Also, love the ceiling beams!

  9. First, I LOVE your living room!! Gorgeous!! I have real wood beams in my house too. At first I didn't like them. I wanted to paint them white, but my living room ceiling is all wood, and it is really nice so I kept the beams in the rest of the house wood color.

I put my award up. Thanks again for thinking of me!! You're awesome!!

  19. Happy Pink Saturday Dee!
I have an English Tudor home too...It is so funny, I used to have my living room painted gold too!! I used a lot of heavy colors. I changed to a softer, lighter more "Tudor Cottage" look & like you, couldn't be happier!
    Your living room looks awesome.
    Enjoy...xo Tami
