A winery was selling cork wine charms.
I had all the supplies on hand to make my own.
~ Ooh La La ~
To make the wine charms you will need:
non-tapered # 9 corks
earring hoops
jump rings
wood and silver beads
StazOn inkpad
And French Stamps! To cut the corks I used a bandsaw. You could use a hacksaw. Then I used a belt sander to smooth the corks. A hand sander would work just as good. Drill a hole in the cork with a small drill bit. Stamp your corks with your French stamps. Put the jump rings in each cork hole. Add the wood and silver beads to your earring hoops and assemble all the parts together. Now they are ready for your wine glasses.
French "grenouille" all in fun! The frog stamp does not come with the set.
My uncle Jacques calls himself a French Frog. While I was at the winery they had these red bottles.
It makes the wine stopper look extra special.
I did a post on how to make them. It's on my sidebar.
(Make pretty cork wine stoppers)
I adore the color 'RED' in the winter months!
You can buy the French stamps on my sidebar.
Happy Crafting!
XO,
Dee
Love your cork wine charms and the red bottles.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week with your company.
OK, those are cute, really cute. I tried to make some charms about 7 years ago out of my moms old jewelry. They were ugly!
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
Love the charms, Dee! I made a set of these one year for friends of ours that love and collect wine {they've also hosted a wine tasting or two}. That red bottle looks great with your stopper!
ReplyDeleteThe charms look great! I immediately thought of your wine stoppers when I saw them. Paired with the a stopper, these charms would make a nice gift with a bottle of wine.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I love wine charms and they would make a fantastic hostess gift with a bottle of wine! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the wine charms and that red bottle with your wine stopper looks fabulous!! I just ordered one of your wine stoppers from your Etsy store! Can't wait till it comes in!
ReplyDeleteDee, I really like your wine markers . I am enthralled with all these cool stamps, too. I'd like to purchase some Frenchy script so I can "get my craft on." I am not very talented in that area. LOL. I have a TON of wine corks that I found at a yard sale- no I didn't drink 300+ bottles of wine! so I should attempt some wine stoppers, as well. You are such an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDearest Dee,
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you jump right in there and even do better! Lovely wine charms, frog & co.
Love to you,
Mariette
I like all that wine whimsy, so cute. Have a great visit!
ReplyDeleteLove them! And thanks for the link to the stamps, I've now added about $150 to my amazon wish list lol!!

ReplyDeleteA rabbit after my own heart. I know what you mean about red glass. I love to put candles in reg class hoders for the Winter. Mysterious and cosy all at once! The cork wine charms are gorgeous. A set looped over a special bottle of wine and two glasses would make a lovely Valentine.

ADORABLE! So creative. I could use a set of them. They would certainly make for fun conversation... and no one would mix up their glasses!
