Bedroom is Getting a Makeover

The bedroom is used as the playroom. I am slowly converting it to my son's room.

 
 

 I love going to consignment shops. I decided to purchase this large iron headboard. I knew it would look fantastic in the room. I also picked up the lamp there. I just added a glass shade from Lowes.

Do you see the potential? I ran back out and came home with a sample of faux leather/pleather.

I painted the iron headboard with many different shades of brown.

This was another find. The pottery was painted red. I just repainted it blue and brown. I may still need to paint the inside blue.

The room needs some cool looking lighting so this baby came home with me too.

 I cleaned it up and used silver rub-n-buff on it.

Here are some of the things that might work in the room.

I painted the walls Ralph Lauren Naturals Popular Island. I decided to get a darker pleather (fake leather) for the headboard.

There is so much more that needs to be done. I just thought you would like to see a sneak peek. This is going to take me awhile to finish.
