I had some antique walnut stain leftover. It's the PolyShades by Minwax. My front door was getting bleached by the sun and was looking quite grime and tattered. I've already put two coats of the stain on. I will add more next week. It's already a million times better looking.

I love working on spring projects! It's so nice to see the neighbor's out and about.
I'd love to take up the tile in the entry. It's has small cracks in it. There are so many projects to do in this old house :)
Our spring weather is
just taking off in the North East. This pretty green planter I purchased
last year from Home Depot. It sits right next to my front door. I can't wait to
see the flowers blooming.
The sun is so bright and wonderful this time of year!
I made a pretty wreath and
added a sweet looking wood tag.
Thanks for stopping by!

Dee

Your door looks beautiful, as well as your other spring touches. I have lots of projects to get at myself.
I love your front door! The tile by your entryway is really nice as well.
Excellent freshening up on that door, which is awesome in it's own right.

I have always loved your front door and the beautiful hardware on it! And I have always loved your home, my parents live in an English tudor! Love polyshades and love sprucing up for spring!! :)

Dee I love love your front door!! Your entry is so pretty!
Such a beautiful door, Dee! Love the shape and the metal detailing.
a door which is well maintained, beautifully created and on the correct place...
that is such a great door, you live in a fairy tale house you do,
I love the door and the entry way. Did you do the stenciling around the arch? xo
Dearest Dee,
Your front door is indeed looking lovely after having been pampered by you. The green planter is fitting nicely too.
Enjoy the spring weather and I wish you and your loved ones a Happy Easter!
Love,
Mariette
Your door is awesome! It looks even better with your new coat of stain. Love the green planter too!
Happy Easter.
You did a great job on the door! What an eye popping difference!
Your door looks great! Love the Tudor style. My front mahogany door gets bleached out by the very hot sun, too, and we have to have it refinished every couple years!
Gorgeous door! It looks completely fabulous now!
Dee, your front door looks amazing now! The shape, details and new stain are gorgeous! I also love your planter! You're ready for Spring! I hope your Easter is filled with many blessings!
Your door is amazing and I love the green planter.Looks like Spring weather is here.
Happy Easter weekend,
Babs
Dee, your door is lovely. It has such style. Your old house is a beauty. I love old homes, but have never lived in one. The closest would be the home I grew up in. Lived there my entire life until I married. My father had built it. He passed away when I was only 9 mnths. old. My parents sold it after I married. Wishing I would have bought it. I drive by it quite often and have such fond memories. There's no place like home!
Hugs,
Jann
The door is beautiful and I love your entry.
Your door is gorgeous Dee. I love that style, so much.
Dee, your door is gorgeous! It really is absorbing the stain isn't it? My son & d-i-l's front door is dark and the sun bleaches it too.
I'm loving this weather now. I was out late yesterday potting flowers and it's such a good feeling! It's nice to remember how good it feels to have one's hands in the dirt.
Hope you and your loved ones have a very Happy Easter!

Fresh spring look. I love your tote bag. Simply refreshing in spring. Love green, love the pot. Anxious to see it blooming. Show us later.
Dee I just love your house -- so much charm and character -- the door is beautiful and the planter looks great! This is just my favorite time of year (okay, next to summer!) getting out and yes, seeing the neighbors again after the long winter! Hope your Easter is just beautiful!
That looks gorgeous Dee! I love your door, and would love to have one like it on our house. Happy Easter!~
Looks great. And an easy way to jump into the spring time outdoor projects. I have lots on my list as well. Thanks for sharing, liz
Your door looks wonderful! Love that frenchy planter! Hope you had a fabulous Easter!...hugs...Debbie
Your door looks beautiful!
I want two of those pots!
Have a good week.

This door is fantastic Dee! Nice work revitalizing it. The window is very cool with those panels. I love the tiles too! I am sure it is a lot of work with an old house but the character must be so worth it. My home was built in 1960, hence a bit boring!
The door looks so pretty, not just the new finish but the overall look.....Christine
Your front door is beautiful! I want to stain mine with a dark walnut stain, but I don't want to take off the old finish. Did you take off the old finish before you stained it?
Thanks in advance.
Cindy
Your front door really cleaned up nicely. Love the charm of your arched doorways!
