Christmas Hostess Gifts to Make in a Hurry

The holiday party season is here!
If you have been asked to a party you should bring a gift or gifts for the host and or hostess. Candles make great hostess gifts. 
10 minutes is all you need to make this hostess gift.
DIY Your Own Waterslide Decal
For this project you will need a regular candle or flameless one, a laser printer -picture, scotch tape or packing tape, scissors and a bowl of warm water. 

 Use a Popsicle stick or the back of a spoon to burnish the paper to the tape.  

Then cut around the image leaving the tape as a border.
 Dunk the picture (waterslide decal) into a bowl of warm water for the magic to work. 

 After 2 to 5 minutes rub the paper off the tape with 

your fingers while your waterslide decal is still under water.

Put your waterslide decal on the candle while still wet. 

Use a dry towel and wipe off the remaining water.
The tape will still be tacky and will stick to your candle. I decorated my mantel with one of the candles. Don't forget to make one for yourself.

These small gestures will go a long way!

    It's beautiful, Dee! I really should try this. Would you believe I printed that same graphic last year in hopes of using it somehow in my Christmas décor? I found it in one of my Christmas boxes this year. Maybe it's time I put it to use!
