Burlap Drapes in My Home Office

My burlap drapes are finally up!!!
I'm doing the happy dance.

Burlap is not the easiest fabric to work with. That is if you’re a beginner like me using the sewing machine. The rewards though are so worth it. Don't give up trying as I came close. My sweet husband did come to my rescue. It's easier to sew burlap if you have someone else helping you move the fabric along.

  The thing I love about burlap is how it drapes not to mention the thickness and fullness it has. 

Since there is a radiator in my office and two built in book cabinets on each side I also used curtain holdbacks. It worked like a charm!

Here is how the burlap drapes looked before I added the curtain holdbacks.

The curtain holdback also worked beautifully at the other window since the desk is there. 

As you can see I'm making my way around the room updating each section. The desk still needs to be finished. I do have many more update in the works. I hope you come back each week to check on my progress.
