Weeping Cherry Tree

Weeping cherry trees are fast growing visions of beauty.

They attract bees, butterflies and small birds.

The flowers are fragrant and add real curb appeal.

Break open a cherry tree
and there are no flowers,
but the spring breeze
brings forth myriad
blossoms.

Hi Dee, thanks for visiting my blog last week (yup, a bit behind in responding!). These are gorgeous photos! So beautiful, but then the cherries drop...! We have black cherry trees all over and by fall our driveway & lawn is a mess and we're tracking them into the house :( I love the flowering phase if they could just stay that way!

That is a beautiful tree! My mother-in-law has one in her front yard. I need to check to see if I can grown one in my zone 7 landscape. Thanks for sharing.

Dee your weeping cherry tree is just gorgeous. My parents used to have cherry trees in New Jersey but they weren't the weeping kind. These are stunning. Do you make flower arrangements with some of the branches of flowers? It's great to see this time of the year. rj

What a pretty little tree Dee. We have a miniature weeping tree, but not a cherry. I had no clue there was a such a thing. Just one more pretty to add to my collection of wants for our land. Thanks for the inspiration!

Happy Pink Saturday. I am so glad you joined us.

This tree is absolutely exquisite. I can close my eyes and almost smell the sweet fragrance.

Thanks Beverly! I had fun joining in. The blooms are just starting to fade a bit but the sweet fragrance is still there.
