RJ's Beautiful French Country Dining Room

RJ made the burlap runner for my sunroom.  :-)

Let's take a tour of my sweet friend's home. This is RJ's gorgeous 'French Country' dining room. RJ has many talents and it shows in her home. RJ made the beautiful runner, and the drapes. She is also a fabulous decorator. Her husband added the wainscoting.

Another view of RJ's dining room runner with ruffle. Also  a sneak peek of her sitting room.

I love her tablescape! The metal fleur de lis container is so pretty with the fresh flowers. RJ changes it out with the seasons.
This is a before picture. The runner was not made and the
wainscoting was not done.

Here is the finished drape with cuff.
Stunning!!!!!!

A close-up  - RJ added the cuff giving the drapes more length.

I adore the finials she used with the chunky rod.

Here is the ruffle on the runner. The embroidered fabric was from the guru for only $6 a yard but seen elsewhere for $70 a yard. The cuff is left over fabric from the drapes. Gorgeous!!!

I love how she coordinated all the fabrics, rug and wall color to perfection!
The beautiful antique armoire RJ found in California for $200!!! She also refinished it.

Here you're looking into the dining room from her foyer.
RJ has a collection of antique watering cans. I love her wicker tulipierre her husband gave her.

More to come!

RJ is not a blogger as of yet. She is thinking about it. Maybe this will get her excited to give it a try. Please post all your sweet notes. RJ will be reading them.
xoxo,
Dee

Holy wow! So so elegant. I love the sunflowers. I've been wanting to paint me wood trim in my house and this has given me more inspiration to do so. Thanks for sharing RJ's home with us.

Dee you are much too kind. We really enjoyed your visit with us and hope you and your family will come back for another one.

Another blogger friend Kristi of the Thrify Gypsy sent me the three panels. The extra panel let me lengthen the two that were too short. The extra fabric left did come in handy for the runner ruffle. Best of all Kristi bought them in the Christmas Tree Shop for only $15 a panel. Gotta love a sale like that. rj

Sorry I meant to say the extra panel let me lengthen the two panels and add the cuff at the top plus the ruffle on the runner. rj

I love everything about it. I'm going to shamelessly copy a lot of that in our new dining room.
