Burlap Valentine Hearts

Valentine's Day is one of my most favorite times of year! Is it yours too?

I love working with burlap! It's cheap and easy to use.
Burlap comes in so many different colors. I had red and oyster burlap on hand.

Red burlap looks super on flower pots.
Burlap also makes great looking hearts

I thought why not paint the oyster burlap to match my decor. Once burlap is painted it cuts like fabric.
You can make any shape you want.
For this project I made many pretty hearts
I painted the hearts to match my office.
The hearts looks so sweet in the mini frames.
Here I added a painted yellow heart to a small vase. I wrapped twine around the vase and added a teeny tiny clothes pin that I painted green.
You can use any paint you have on hand.
I love how my Valentine's hearts can be used year round.

The fresh smell of lavender is wonderful this time of year.
Love is in the air!
Happy Crafting!

Very pretty, Dee! I love how you did the ones to match your office colors. Is there less mess in the cutting when they are painted then?

Me Valentines Day decorating this year might only consist of candy conversation hearts, and that is if they last that long in the candy jar.

I've never done anything with burlap but they have come out with so many colors and patterns that it is tempting. I think it makes such pretty hearts, too. Love your fun projects...and lavender, too! Sweet hugs!

Love these! I haven't worked with burlap as everyone says it's so messy. I guess with your painting it, it's easier, right? Great job! The 2 for your office are perfect in color.
