How to blow out the egg yolks.
First wash the eggs with soap and water.
Use a push pin to poke small holes in both ends of the egg. 
Be very gentle with the eggs as some may break if you push too hard.
A turkey baster works to remove the yoke.
Wash the eggshells to remove any leftover egg yolks and drain.
To top it all off we had scrambled quail eggs for breakfast.

The quail eggs are beautiful. Can you purchase them at a grocery? I've never seen them around here, but we tried them at a gourmet restaurant in Maine. Yum!

I like the colored one. Thanks for the tutorial on blowing out eggs-I have always wanted to try it. When I was little my mom's friend had a basket of blown out eggs in her kitchen and I always loved it. The quail eggs are perfect.

My local supermarket had the quail eggs. I've also seen them at Whole Foods just double the price.

Love your cloche arrangement Dee. I really like both of your photos but I'm a big fan of black and white so I'll choose that one. Thanks for the directions on blowing out the eggs. I dont own any clotches as of yet, but thinking i will here soon, u girls in blogland are really rockin some clotches. I'll have to remember this for next year. We use organic eggs so they are brown with speckles. Not near as pretty as these Quail eggs are, but still very pretty. I planned on doing this to them, but never thought to use a baster! So much better than putting ones mouth on the eggs. Duh! LOL

Real quail eggs!!!??? I am SO impressed. They look great. Thanks for this tutorial on blowing out eggs. I have gotten many a headache blowing them out the old-fashioned way.
I'm still admiring the quail eggs that I had my husband blow out. He's such a good sport! I'm adding fresh flowers every few days to the cloche.

I am very excited to be a new quail mommy this week. I wanted to research ways that I can use their eggs in my art. My question is with their fragility, is there anyway that you can fill them with something to make them a little more rugged.
