Burlap Runner

My Jersey friend RJ made this beautiful runner for me. I met RJ online on a decorating site. Little did I know we would become very good friends. We finally met 2 years ago in her home.  I felt like I walked into a magazine. I've seen her home online. Yes, I loved it but in person it was so much more. The details in every room were so well thought out. Nothing was out of place yet it was so inviting. I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. We exchanged gifts and of course hugged. Her husband ordered us pizza and the time just flew by. RJ has not live in Jersey for a long time but she is still a Jersey girl to me. RJ knows that I've been sewing by hand and offered to make me a runner for my sunroom.

Little did I know the runner would be this beautiful! I asked her if she could add a ruffle and she agreed she would. Then RJ hinted she was going to do a little more to it and asked me if she could.

Here is the start to the runner in RJ's home.

RJ made it reversible so I could have two different looks.

RJ made this beautiful flower from fabric!

She added a chocolate brown velvet ribbon. It matches my wicker furniture perfectly!

All Jersey girls need bling!!! Do you not love the rhinestone pin RJ added to the center of the flower? My heart skipped a beat when I saw it!

The runner makes my sunroom ROCK!

It's the icing on the cake!
I love it!!!!!

That is a beautiful runner, I noticed that the burlap is very soft, not so rustic like the one I buy, will try to find some like yours.
Have a lovely day!

Your sunroom is sooo lovely, I am just awed by how beautifully you have it decorated as well....wishing mine wasn't so tiny! But that's ok, I love it anyway! Take care, VBg

Dee the burlap runner looks great in your awesome sunroom. I enjoyed making it for you. It was a labor of love...lol!

The flower is made of linen and I used the tutorial from Emily of Jones Design blog. Like you she gives out some awesome tutorials. Making the flower was the fun part of the whole runner.

Glad you liked the brown velvet ribbon because I wanted to surprise you with it plus the flower. Enjoy! rj
