To Sew Or Not To Sew

I'm doing the happy dance!

My husband learned how to sew as a child. He still remembers how to use the sewing machine.

We are not finished making the two pink chair cushions.
I just had to show you how pretty they are going to be.
'Pretty and Pink!'

'My husband is making pretty chair ties for the cushions.'
They still need to be sewn on and the cushion is still open in the back. I will have to hand stitch it closed.

This is the fabric we are using for the sunroom.

I hand stitched all the pillows.
When I made the burlap pillows I used my children's baby pillows as inserts. I just couldn't part with them.
 Now I don't have to.  :-)

My first ribbon rose.
The fabric on the rocker will be replaced with the new floral.

Dee your new cushions are gorgeous! And your DH is so thoughtful to be making these for you. I love your choice of fabrics. It has such a romantic look to mix the pink, the floral and the cream burlap together. And I love your rosette... perfect accent. I can't wait to see the whole room all done...when do you think it will be? Great job as always...you two make an awesome team! rj

Hi Dee! ~ Thank you for visiting my blog and becoming a new follower! :) I stopped by to visit yours and had to share with yout that I love the pillows that you & your husband have made! I find it funny because my husband also knows how to sew! His mother taught him how as a child, as well. She owned (and still does it part time) her own business where she makes and repairs cushions and covers for boat owners. ~ You can count me as a new follower of your blog! ~ Blessings!
