The Graphics Fairy has these beautiful pictures of garden urns.
I transferred the garden urns using my
* woodworker's transfer tool on wood.
I aged the wood with the vinegar and steel wool solution.
~ How to Age the Wood ~
Apple Cider Vinegar
Steel Wool
Container for Solution
Paint Brush
Pour the apple cider vinegar into a container.
Add the steel wool and let it sit for
24 hours.
I used a chip paint brush to
apply
the mixture to the wood.
*Save your leftover
mixture. I poured the rest into a glass jar. I discarded the steel wool.
I painted the back and sides of the wood plaques with black paint.
Then I sealed the wood with clear Butcher's Bowling Alley Wax and buffed.
* This transfer only works with a laser printer image. The woodworker's transfer tool melts the toner off the paper and onto the wood.
I love how they turned out!
I hope I've inspired you to use your woodworker's transfer tool.
You can find it on my sidebar.
Happy Crafting!
