Christmas Decor

I'm keeping Christmas simple this year.

I've been decorating here and there and not going overboard.
The wreath is on our front door.
The Christmas lights are up.
The mantel is decorated.
Fall has really felt more like winter here. The weather has been bone chilling cold. I think that is why I've decorated my mini Christmas tree with flowers.
For the top of the tree I added a bow that I made out of wired ribbon.
The tree trunk I covered with a lace doily. I added the pink and white pearls.
Here I added some pinecones. Some I dipped in wax.
Can you tell I'm wishing for spring?
I hope Santa brings it early this year.
Thanks for stopping by!
XO,
Dee

I love what you consider "simple".

How fun to have trees outdoors that you can light up.

Very pretty, Dee! I kept things simple this year, too. It will be easier and quicker to put away. : ) I would wish for an early Spring, but I think we are in for a cold and snowy Winter. We are expecting more snow overnight tonight.

I like all the pastel touches in your Christmas decor. With two crazy kittens in my house I have to keep it pretty simple here, too.

Your mini Christmas tree looks lovely decorated with flowers! The lacy doily for the tree skirt is so pretty & clever too.

glad to hear others have gone simple too. I think part of it for me was the short holiday season. Wow, I heard you folks up north are having an early cold snap!!

I like the touch of pearls, all very pretty- you could leave the flowered tree up till Spring. It's been bitter cold here, too and it's not even officially Winter yet.

Dearest Dee,
You did very wisely for decorating with flowers!
Ever since our three winters in the tropics I have to drag myself through winter season... we got spoiled. Yes, we are ready for spring!

Mariette

Your decorations are beautiful! I always start out thinking I am going to go simple, then I just keep pulling more and more out - and once the kids get involved, forget it! I am hoping for an early spring but I think we are getting snow AGAIN tonight! Ugh! Enjoy your week!

Well although Christmas has come and gone, as I said, I'm having breakfast with your blog this morning and catching up a little...a flower Christmas tree is perfect for reminding us that spring is indeed on the way!
