My Favorite "Eating Clean" Recipes For a Happy Healthy Life

First of all, what is eating clean?  Sounds like washing your hands before you eat, doesn't it? Well, that's not even close, although it's a good idea! Before I go into the details, here are the benefits of "Eating Clean" ..... It will help prevent belly fat, sickness and contribute to a long healthy happy life without medications or pain! Try it for yourself and see. You will be amazed how good you feel, plus the difference you will see in the mirror will amaze you. Not only that, but you will have so much more energy than before. It's almost like your aging backwards, well almost! The hands of time will no longer get you down and you can look forward to your next birthday as if you were a child. There is a reason we age like we do and it has a lot to do with what we eat and how we feel about ourselves and others. So let's get rid of the process foods as much as we can.
Eat your veggies like your mother said with one twist
'EAT THEM RAW' as much as possible!
They hold the key to longevity and superior health.

Did you know that eating raw foods make you feel great? By cooking many of our foods we destroy the very enzymes and vitamins that are needed for a long healthy life. Now I know that we all still enjoy cooked foods. I'm just saying eat more fruits and veggies every day. The more you eat the better you will feel. Just make sure your not eating GMO’s and pesticides.
It's also the bad carbs that are making us Sick and TIRED and it's all due to processed foods. Things like Bread, Pasta, Cookies, Crackers and Cakes are not found in nature. So why do we eat them? Everything we eat lately comes in some sort of package or box. Have you really read the labels on the foods you are buying? Most are loaded with chemicals, dyes, metals and additives. Besides that who needs that much salt and sugar anyway. I know I don't! Those two items alone will make your skin age faster than it should. Did you know it's also aging you on the inside of your body? No creams, ointments lotions or potions will stop the aging if you keep eating 'toxic foods'. Spend the money on what you eat and not some snake oil that claims if will rid you of your wrinkles. Believe me it won’t work and you’re probably wasting your time and money.

Most Americans are FAT for a reason! No it's not that they have no willpower! They have been on every diet and have bounced down and back up in weight with no real results. They feel helpless and desperate and are always looking for that magic pill. Well there is no magic pill I’m sorry to say. It’s all about "Eating Clean". It's that easy! Get rid of processed baked foods, processed sugar, vegetable oils, all corn products even if they say organic, also milk, wheat, barley and rye and the BIG one soy. Eat sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes. Fish should be wild caught and not farm raised. Try not eating these foods for (3) weeks and see how you feel. The real goal is to eat this way for (6) weeks. I know YOU can do it! Take baby steps if you need to. Do whatever it takes just do it! Use coconut sugar, raw honey and pure maple syrup instead of processed sugar. For oil switch to coconut oil and olive oil. If you still love to bake use almond flour and coconut flour.
Here are some wonderful recipes I saved on pinterest gluten-free. I should really rename it GUILT FREE!
The muffins I baked are with almond and coconut flour. The recipe is easy to follow. The recipe is from pop an egg on it - breakfast muffins
For milk switch to almond or coconut milk. Hemp milk is also yummy. I make my own by buying hemp seeds. All you need is a cup of hemp seeds to a cup of water mixed with a high speed blender. Super easy to do and it taste great too. I love adding a banana and romaine lettuce to it for a yummy breakfast. By following these simple steps you will be able to achieve a happy and active healthy life.
Sweet bell peppers and eggs make a super yummy breakfast!
For your excellent tasting egg breakfast I recommend using cumin and cayenne pepper instead of the typical salt and pepper.
Cut up your sweet bell peppers and eat them uncooked. They are nice and crunchy and taste great with your spicy eggs.
A great way to start your day is with warm fresh lemon water or ginger tea before you eat breakfast. Lemons give you energy and will boost your immune system just like ginger tea.
Lemon Water Recipe
One cup warm water, half a lemon, a tablespoon of maple syrup and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Or just warm water and lemon will work. It's all up to you! When I first started to drink the lemon water I added the maple syrup.

Ginger Tea Recipe
Start loving yourself and stop wishes for smaller hips and a flat belly. Just by changing your eating habits you will see amazing results in no time. Start seeing the world differently. Be kind to others and give back as much as you receive if not more. I promise you will feel like a new person in just six weeks. You will start to feel a different in three weeks but the real changes will be in six. This year go out of your way to help others. This will help with your mood and also your weight. When you’re busy helping others your body will give off endorphins. There is no need to exercise. Just be there for others and remember to eat clean the rest will happen naturally.

 SWEET POTATO SMOOTHIE
Smoothies are yummy any time of day! They give you energy and fill you up.
You will need one large frozen banana, one large RAW or cooked sweet potato (remove the skin), one cup ginger tea, one cup almond milk, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and one tablespoon shredded coconut.
Blend in a high speed blender and enjoy!
I hope I’ve inspired you to get off the "Process Food Couch" and get back into life. In six weeks put on last year’s bathing suit. I can guarantee you'll need a smaller size :-)
I am not a doctor, although I did play one on TV and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express :) .... but I'm just sharing what I learned and did to help others change their eating habits.

Today’s the day to jump start your health!!!
 You can do it ت
XO,
Dee

Dearest Dee,
Good for Trader Joe's where we can find the coconut sugar, almond meal, cashew meal for healthy baking. Sugar is the worst enemy and if we only learn to cut that out of our diet, we ALL start looking different.
Hugs to you,
Mariette

Great post Dee!!! I do try to eat as many raw vegetables as possible...mostly in the way of salads. One of my favorites is spinach and strawberry. This is a really healthy combination because the vitamin c in the strawberries actually boosts the iron uptake in the body from the spinach. I also love blueberry salad dressing and beet and cauliflower soup. Your sweet potato smoothie peaked my interest...think I'll make it and try it out on the kids. But I won't tell them what it is until after it is all gone! (he he he)
Thanks for the great tips and recipes...and enjoy a beautiful weekend!!!

Wonderful post Dee, full of healthy options. I have never tried coconut flour. Raw veggies are always better, more nutrients. I love my new spiralizer, which does a great job on veggies. Happy Mother's day early.

mmmm I'm so hungry now - send me some pancakes!!!! I am so with you on the eating clean diet. Nowadays when I eat something processed, I feel kind of sick almost right away. When you finally break free of all the crap they put in our food these days, you find out how bad it was for you pretty quickly!

Dee, thanks for these suggestions. Yes, eating clean makes a huge difference and I just wish I had known sooner. I am going to try your smoothie recipe. I have a smoothie every morning and have not tried this recipe. I need to try your bread recipes, too since I haven't had any bread in four months. I'm afraid if I eat some it will make me crave it again. I do use almond and coconut milk and most everything is organic. Makes for a bigger grocery bill, but worth the better health.
